Blending Wool with Human Hair - Our Latest Test Material

As part of our ongoing work as a development house for testing and creating new products, using a range of materials and fibres, we recently produced a woollen spun, 12ysw yarn from salon waste (human hair) blended with wool for Green Salon Collective.

The Green Salon Collective is an organisation created by environmental experts, hairdressers and eco campaigners focussed on salon sustainability. The Green Salon Collective divert easily recyclable materials used in hair salons, that are current sent to landfill.  You can read more about their work and this collaborative project in their blog here
