Group Tours of Our Mill

Guided Tours to Discover More about Wool

We regularly receive enquiries for guided tours of our mill. Due to our four day working week and busy work schedule we are not able to accommodate all requests.

However, we welcome enquiries from group organisers wishing to bring visitors to the mill to learn more about the fascinating processes that take place when we handle fleece and turn it into the finest quality yarns. Our highly skilled and knowledgeable team provide in-depth tours of the mill showcasing the scouring, carding, woollen and worsted spinning and finishing processes that take place on a daily basis.

Our Guided Mill Tours take approximately 60 minutes and must be booked in advance. Within the mill there are several staircases, with no lift access, so please advise us of any additional access requirements in advance so we can adapt the tour schedule. All visitors to the mill are required to wear covered toe shoes for health and safety purposes. The entry ticket price includes a 10% discount on Blacker Yarns products when purchased onsite during the visit. The maximum number per group visit is 15.

Please contact us via email to find out more.
