Wonderwool 2016 was (in our humble opinion), the best one yet! The weather over the weekend behaved itself (mostly) and we got the opporunity to catch up with many friends that we hadn’t seen since the shows last year.
Shows are also a chance for us to see what out customers have been up to. Sometimes they bring us items that they have made from the Blacker Yarns ranges and other times we find them on their own trade stands!
We were very lucky to meet Deborah and Jenny from Cinderhill Farm who thenvisited us earlier this week with a one-of-a-kind piece of history (and some gorgeous Black Welsh Mountain fleece).
Recently returned from the V&A, we were lucky enough to be able to look through the winning portfolio of the 1926 Crompton Prize Scheme. The level of intracy of the designs and the fineness of the yarns used is simply amazing, and what is more, many of the designs and colours used wouldn’t look out of place nowadays.
We do meet some very interesting people!
