I was pondering the current popularity of Indian/ikat designs, which I have always loved anyway. So here are a few options to try. They are stitch-and-row interchangeable with the sheep charts on our Feeling Sheepish pullover. Please request an email version if you need higher definition. I will also put it on our Free Patterns page at http://www.blackeryarns.co.uk/patterns-for-knitting-and-crochet/free-patterns-to-download
So now you can get some Classic Oxblood and some Navy, Grey or Slate and use them with White for the traditional red/black patterns or some True Blue for the blue option. They will work in Fair Isle as the stranding is a maximum of 5 stitches and there are mainly only 2 colours in each row. The background can stay in fawn to accent the panels. You can also, of course, add the designs to the sleeves! You can even do an all-over version if you wish?
It is raining drearily here and my sheep, cat and chicken are all pretty unhappy about it so it seemed a good time to share this!
I shall await the pictures, samples, comments and suggestions with interest …
