MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Responsible for carrying out the manufacture and finishing of spun yarns on the operations floor.
- General Housekeeping duties and specific machinery clean downs
- Manual Handling
- Spinning and Finishing:
- Machine set-up and operation
- Quality checks
- Operational calculations
- Finished product packing and pallet wrapping
Min 2 years experience in a production team (FMCG or similar)
Min 5 years experience in a production team (FMCG or similar)
The work may require the following physical requirements:
– standing for long periods

A Bit About Us
The Natural Fibre Company is a specialist wool mill based in Cornwall close to the Devon border. We have 18 staff: eleven in production, and five in marketing and administration, with two directors also employed on management and marketing. We have outside, part time help with accountancy, information technology and the web site. Since relocating to Cornwall in 2005 our turnover has increased year-on-year by around 15%. We have launched Blacker Yarns and established ourselves internationally as a supplier of high-quality yarn. The holding company is called Blacker Sheep.
