Mechanical Engineering Specialist (November 2023)

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer or service company or engineering student to provide us with a capability of diagnosing mechanical issues, source parts and solutions and maintain machine availability and functionality. A Bit About Us

The Natural Fibre Company is a specialist wool mill based in Cornwall close to the Devon border. We have 13 staff: seven working in production, and six in management, administration and marketing, with one director/CEO. As well as processing fibre into yarn for others we also launched Blacker Yarns, our own brand of high-quality pure wool yarn. The holding company is called Blacker Sheep. We are a people orientated and value-driven company and enjoy sharing these values with customers and partners.

General information 

We need people who will be hands on, involved, and who have high energy and fitness levels and good IT skills. Due to our location a clean driving licence and use of a car are pretty much essential.

We are happy to receive speculative CVs which we will retain for six months in the event of suitable opportunities arising. We also welcome applications from those returning to work and who have transferrable skills acquired from other work environments and industries.

Student Interns are welcome for periods of work experience, usually for two to three months, but for a minimum of six weeks. Please email enquiries@thenaturalfibre.co.uk attaching a CV and details about your college or university course.
