This craft centre at Princetown in Devon is open every day and supports local artists. It is financed by the Duchy of Cornwall, the local county council, the South West Regional Development Agency and Government Office South West

This site attempts to draw together all that is ethically and environmentally focussed in Cornwall, a county which is gradually earning a reputation as a leader in green technology

Formed in 1979 to foster an international interest in felt, to promote it members' work and to further the exchange of knowledge and ideas
Jane Deane
Textile designer and teacher working with fibre, yarn and dyes. She also keeps silkworms whose discarded cocoons provide a limited amount of silk
The Knitting and Crochet Guild of Great Britain
A national charity that has helped preserve and promote crochet, hand and machine knitting since its formation in 1978. Publishes a quarterly journal called SlipKnot
Knitweave
Cornwall-based Jo McIntosh is involved with weaving, felt making, beading, knitting, fabric dyeing and space-dyed threads. She describes herself as a textile artist
Living Ethically
An organic, ecological and ethical shopping and information portal which includes regular features, articles, product reviews and exclusive special offers. The site, which has a mass of links to UK companies, aims to make ethical shopping easy.
Popham Alpacas
Gary and Felicia Sanders have come a long since they started a breeding alpacas with three animals and are now up to 90 some of which are up for sale from their farm which is just 15 minutes from Plymouth. They also sell their yarns which we spin for them
Sawdays Special Places
Alastair Sawday knows all about special places to stay, he checks them out himself and looks particularly at those that try to reduce their environmental impact, both in the UK and worldwide. He puts them into his own series of books and also publishes newsletters. We heard about him from one of our customers, Marcus Lampard of Mandinam in Wales, who operates one of the featured farm B&Bs

Wool and Willow Gallery
This site for the Hay-on-Wye-based co-operative of wool producers, spinners, knitters, felt workers, weavers and dyers will lead you to other possible suppliers in Wales
The Wool Emporium
This showcase for designers in wool is based at the Thomas Shop in Penybont, Powys. It is also a resource centre for natural fibre reference information and has facilities for both teaching and training
